Liverpool sign Aquilani from Roma

Liverpool have signed Roma midfielder Alberto Aquilani on a five-year contract after the Italian international passed a medical.
The 25-year-old has joined the Reds in a deal reportedly worth £20m.
Aquilani has not played since March due to an ankle injury and is only expected to be fully fit in around four to eight weeks time.
Liverpool said in a statement: "He will continue his rehabilitation under the guidance of our medical team."
Aquilani is Liverpool's second major summer signing after England right-back Glen Johnson joined from Portsmouth.
Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez targeted the Italian on Wednesday just hours after the Reds sold Spanish midfielder Xabi Alonso to Real Madrid for £30m.
"Alberto has a winning mentality and great experience in both Serie A and the Champions League," said Benitez.
Aquilani, has played 11 times for Italy and has been with Roma, the club he supported as a child, since he was 16, making his debut as an 18-year-old under now England boss Fabio Capello.
"Aquilani has long been recognised as a top class talent in Italy, captaining his country at both Under 19 and Under 21 levels before establishing himself in the senior national side," said Benitez.
The Italian had an operation on his ankle injury in May after struggling with injury problems which restricted him to just 14 appearances for Roma last season.
The Reds had also been linked with Wigan's Lee Catermole and Valencia's David Silva.
Last summer a move for then Aston Villa midfielder Gareth Barry - now at Manchester City following a £12m summer transfer - fell through after Benitez was unable to sell Alonso to raise the sufficient funds for the deal

Liverpool hoàn tất thủ tục mua Aquilani

Liverpool vừa hoàn tất thủ tục mua trung vệ Alberto Aquilani của Roma.
Sau khi qua cuộc khám sức khỏe, cầu thủ này ký hợp đồng 5 năm.
Vụ chuyển nhượng được nói tới có giá khoảng 20 triệu bảng.
Kể từ tháng Ba, Aquilani đã không chơi bóng vì bị chấn thương. Phải mất tám tuần nữa anh này mới có thể hồi phục thể lực một cách hoàn toàn.
Trong một tuyên bố, đội Liverpool nói như sau: "Aquilani sẽ tiếp tục dưỡng thương theo sự hướng dẫn của các chuyên gia y tế của Liverpool.”

Aquilani là vụ chuyển nhượng thứ hai của đội bóng sân Anfield trong mùa hè năm nay. Trước đó bầu Benitez mua hậu vệ thòng, thành viên của tuyển Anh, Glen Johnson từ Portsmouth.

HLV Rafa Benitez của Liverpool nói: "Alberto có tinh thần thi đấu tốt, với sự từng trải trong cả Serie A và Champions League."
Trước đó vài ngày, trung vệ người Tây Ban Nha Xabi Alonso vừa hoàn tất thủ tục chuyển đội từ Liverpool sang Real Madrid với giá 30 triệu bảng.
Aquilani, năm nay 25 tuổi, được gọi vào tuyển Italy 11 lần. Kể từ 16 tuổi anh được nhận vào CLB Roma. 18 tuổi anh đá trận đầu tiên dưới màu áo của câu lạc bộ. HLV của Roma khi ấy là Fabio Capello.
Benitez nói thêm: "Từ lâu Aquilani được coi là một trong những tài năng hàng đầu tại Ý. Trước khi xuất hiện trong đội hình tuyển quốc gia, anh đã tham gia U19 và U21.”
Một tuyên bố trên website của Liverpool viết như sau: "Khi thương vụ bán Xabi Alonso cho Real Madrid hoàn tất, Liverpool liền nói chuyện với Roma về trường hợp Aquilani .”
Trung vệ người Ý không chơi bóng bao nhiêu kể từ tháng Ba khi anh bị chấn thương mắt cá chân. Tháng Năm anh đi giải phẫu.
Do vậy trong mùa giải năm ngoái, Aquilani chỉ xuất hiện 14 lần trong màu áo của Roma.
